Job Summary:
We are a UK-based group of companies having back offices in Islamabad and Lahore, looking for a competent resource who will be responsible for managing the accounting and finance functions of our group and affiliated companies.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting: Oversee accounting activities, including internal financial records, billing, vouchers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting. Ensure that ledgers accurately reflect money coming in and out of the group.
- Financial statements: Maintain, manage, and analyse financial statements, including preparing and publishing monthly financial statements.
- Payroll: Process payroll.
- Budgets: Develop budgets and financial plans and review them.
- Tax compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, and coordinate with external tax advisors as necessary.
- Reporting: Create monthly and annual reports and coordinate regulatory reporting.
- Cash flow: Manage cash flow.
- Internal controls: Monitor internal controls to ensure that everyone does their job correctly.
- Governance: Evaluate internal structures and governance to protect the interests of stakeholders in the long term.
- Risk management: Highlight and manage risk appropriately and use risk management strategies with the best interests of the company and its stakeholders in mind.
- Quality control: Ensure quality control for financial reporting and transactions
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Degree in business and financial accounting or (CMA/CIMA qualified/part qualified).
- Proven experience of minimum 3 years of financial and management accounting.
- Hands on experience of accounting software will be plus.
- Should be good in MS Excel
- Experience in power BI will be added advantage.
- Strong management reporting skills.
