Senior Accountant
You will be joining a diverse group of global and local team members with a presence in United Kingdom, Pakistan, Philippines, US and Canada. Working in a UK based Tax & Accountancy firm’s back office in Pakistan as a Senior Accountant, you will work predominantly with our team at the Islamabad/Lahore offices catering to UK based Clients. Part of your role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities, these will include but are not limited to month end VAT Returns and management accounts and year-end financial accounts and tax returns. You will support the team through the preparation and submission of Corporation Tax Returns, the preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Tax Returns and other ad hoc duties as required by the business. Role and responsibilities
- Preparation of financial and management accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies for submission to the CH and HMRC
- Managing client expectations and deadlines
- Preparation of personal and business tax returns
- VAT registration for eligible Companies, preparation and supervision of VAT returns to the HMRC
- Preparation and submission of Self -assessment Tax Returns of sole traders
- Capital Allowance Computations, claiming CIS for construction Industry and filing same to the HMRC.
- Partnerships including advising clients on weather to incorporate a company or trade as a sole trader.
- Creating worksheets for corporate tax, VAT, RCT and Income Tax. Furthermore, reconcile and ensure accuracy of bank and control accounts of the clients as well as generate and post company accounts to accounts software package.
- Processing client records accurately using Xero, QuickBooks and other accountancy software.
- Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations
- Assisting with general administrative duties including client correspondence, filing, and supporting the team to meet deadlines as required.
Qualifications and education requirements
ACCA Affiliate/ Part Qualified, CA- Inter, BBA/MBA Finance, Bachelor’s degree (preferably in the field of Accounting, Finance). Minimum 2.5 years of experience

You will be responsible for day-to-day administration and processing of accounts, managing deadlines and working within a compliance and regulated sector. In addition:
- Should have more than 2.5 years’ experience of working within a Uk Tax firm with client centered environment where client satisfaction is paramount.
- Expertise of Tax, Accounting and Bookkeeping procedures
- Expert knowledge of accounting software i-e QuickBooks, Xero, Tax Filer
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Excellent computer skills, with expertise in Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Excellent Team player & Interpersonal skills.
