Trainee Accountant

Job Summary:  

One of our UK based clients need Trainee Accountants who will be working in their back office in Lahore, you will provide support to internal staff and will work predominately with our client team catering to UK based Clients. This role will include assisting in the day-to-day financial activities, month end VAT Returns, management accounts, year-end financial accounts/tax returns, submission of Corporation Tax Returns, preparation and submission of Self-Assessment Tax Returns and other ad hoc assignments as required by the business.   

   Responsibilities:   

•  Assisting with financial and management accounts preparation for Sole Traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.  

•  Assisting with managing client expectations and deadlines.  

•  Assisting with the preparation of personal and business tax returns.  

•  Create worksheets for corporate tax, VAT and Income Tax. Furthermore, reconcile and ensure accuracy of bank and control accounts of the clients as well as generate and post company accounts to accounts software package.  

•  Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations.  

•  Processing client records accurately using Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, VT and other accountancy software.   

•  Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.  

•  Assisting with general administrative duties including meeting clients, filing, and supporting the team to meet deadlines as required.   

  Requirements   

• ACCA qualified, Part qualified or finalist. 

• Fresh Candidates, no prior experience is required 

• Knowledge of Tax, Accounting and Bookkeeping procedures.   

• Working knowledge of accounting software.   

• Excellent numeracy skills.   

• Excellent computer skills, with expertise in Excel and Word.   

• Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.   

• Excellent Team player & Interpersonal skills.
